Select sensitivity
The total weight and volume of the parcel – including packaging – determine the appropriate g-value. The selection guide does this for you.
Attaching and labelling
Affix the warning sticker together with the ShockWatch® label to the parcel. Stick the small sticker onto the consignment documents. This ensures that everyone involved in the transport is informed.
Check on delivery
White: Handling requirements met. Red: Accept the consignment subject to reservation only; note the serial number on the delivery note, photograph the package and check for hidden damage.
Is your consignment heavier than 1,000 kg? ShockWatch labels can be used correctly for weights up to 1,000 kg. For weights above that, the ShockWatch 2® indicator takes over – we’d be happy to advise you by telephone on +49 40 6963874-10.

Monitoring of impact forces
ShockWatch® labels are suitable for the transport of sensitive electronic equipment, medical instruments, glassware, machinery and other high-value goods. They reduce transport damage at a low cost per item and improve quality assurance throughout the entire supply chain.
Thanks to the immediate visual indication, damage is detected at an early stage rather than only upon unpacking. This provides a solid basis for selecting a carrier and transport route – and, in the event of damage, clarifies who is responsible for what.

Frequently Asked Questions about ShockWatch® Labels
How does a ShockWatch® shock indicator work?
The indicator is attached to the package using an adhesive backing. If an impact exceeds the Label’s threshold – for example, 25 g with a pulse duration of 50 ms – the viewing window permanently changes from white to red. The response is 360° axial, meaning the impact is detected from any direction. No measuring device or analysis is required: everyone in the supply chain can immediately see whether the handling instructions have been followed.
What sensitivity do I need for my parcel?
The decisive factors are the total weight and volume of the parcel, including packaging in both cases. The heavier and larger the consignment, the lower the g-value. The yellow ShockWatch® Label with a 25 g threshold, for example, covers 46 to 750 kg. The selection guide on this page determines the appropriate sensitivity based on both figures.
Can a Label that has been triggered be reset?
No. The red indicator is permanent and cannot be reset. Each Label also bears a sequential serial number and a barcode, meaning it cannot be replaced.
What is included in the delivery?
Each indicator comes with a warning sticker in DIN A4 format for the parcel, a sticker measuring 76 × 25 mm for the shipping documents, and a small delivery note sticker. The indicator itself bears a sequential serial number and a barcode.
What is the minimum order quantity?
The minimum order quantity is 50 units. Tiered pricing applies for orders of 100 units or more. Delivery time within Germany is 2–3 working days (times may vary for international deliveries). We would be happy to provide you with a bespoke quote for larger quantities.
Up to what weight can the labels be used?
The weight limit for the proper use of ShockWatch labels is 1,000 kg. Above this, the expected functionality may no longer be guaranteed for physical reasons. For heavier parcels, the ShockWatch 2® is the suitable alternative.
The Label is red on delivery – what should I do now?
Accept the consignment subject to reservation only and note the triggered indicator, including the serial number, on the consignment note or delivery receipt. Take photographs of the package and the indicator, and check the goods for hidden damage. The serial number allows the indicator to be uniquely linked to the parcel. Are the indicators suitable for air freight and export?
The labels operate purely mechanically, without a battery or wireless transmission. The operating temperature range is −25 °C to +80 °C. We would be happy to advise you on specific transport routes – please contact us on +49 40 6963874-10.
